Learning Assistant, UH Manoa

Assist students with precalculus homework and recitation worksheets. Provide guidance and clarification on mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.

  • Set up and manage regular office hours outside of the classroom to offer personalized assistance to students. Address students’ questions and concerns related to math coursework.
  • Tutor, providing one-on-one, group, and in-class tutoring sessions to help students understand complex math concepts.

Research Assistant in Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience, UH Manoa

Preprocess and analyze EEG data of substance-exposed neonates

  • Utilized FASTER EEGLAB, FieldTrip, and MATLAB functions for preprocessing and artifact removal, including bad channel identification and interpolation.
  • Focused on identifying and analyzing the MMN component within the Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) to determine the neonates' ability to perceive differences in sounds.
  • Developed MATLAB scripts to automate EEG data preprocessing, filtering, and MMN extraction, improving efficiency and accuracy in data analysis.
